Meydan Sobha, the 50 percent free zone company for the joint undertaking between Meydan and Sobha, has been established as a limited liability company. This is responsible for creating 2.4 million square meters (600 hectares) Mohammed Bin Rashid City (MBR) parks, lakes, forests, and open spaces.
In March 2013, Meydan company confirmed that District One project will be introduced with Sobha Group on an area of 4 million meters of freehold land (over 1,000 hectares) that will turn it into an affluent destination full of diverse segregation sites and enclosed by large residential districts in Mohammed bin Rashid region. The project would take over from the District One project.
